Article submission guidelines
Contribute to the eHerbalist
We warmly invite members to contribute articles and other content for future editions of the URHP eHerbalist newsletter.
How do you benefit?
- Contributing counts towards your CPD. Writing an article or volunteering to conduct a member interview can count towards your annual CPD requirements.
- Share your work with the URHP community. Alongside your article, you can include a short biography and photograph, your website and contact details, and a brief description of your herbal practice.
What can you submit?
We welcome contributions on any topic connected with herbal medicine, herbal practice, or the wider herbal community.
Contributions might include:
- Articles on herbal practice, plants, research, or professional interests
- Herbal food and drink recipes
- Case reflections or practice-related experiences
- Reviews of books, events, or courses
- Herbal history, folklore, or traditional uses
- Personal reflections, anecdotes, or light-hearted pieces
- Jokes, cartoons, or other creative contributions
- News or updates that may interest fellow members
- Seasonal features, such as Christmas or other seasonal traditions
Articles do not need to be long. Short pieces are very welcome, particularly when accompanied by good-quality photographs or illustrations.
When can I submit?
A submission deadline will be announced before each edition. However, you are welcome to send material at any time, and suitable contributions can be held for inclusion in a future issue.
Submission guidelines
All submitted work should be your own. Please ensure that you have permission to use any photographs, illustrations, or other material that you did not create yourself.
Contributors are responsible for the accuracy and content of their submissions. The URHP reserves the right to edit contributions for length, clarity, and house style before publication.
