This seminar will introduce the philosophical and scientific theoretical basics of Classical Chinese Medicine in its original form,as it was practices before TMC was developed.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), well known outside of China today, is a combination of Classical Chinese Medicine(CCM) and western school medicine, created between 1940 -50 in the People’s Republic of China due to various political and economic reasons.
This half day seminar will introduce the philosophical and scientific theoretical basics of Classical Chinese Medicine in its original form.
8th Annual Congress of the International Society for Complementary Medicine Research (ISCMR): 11th - 13th April 2013
The 8th annual International Congress of Complementary Medicine Research - ICCMR 2013 - will focus on the global sustainability of healthcare for long term conditions such as diabetes, chronic pain, cardiov ascular disease, psychological problems, neurodegenerative conditions and arthritis. Long term conditions are the major cause of mortality among adults in almost all countries; between 35 and 58 million deaths annually worldwide are due to these illnesses and their complications. As global longevity continues to rise, it is increasingly clear that complementary, traditional and integrative therapies will have a vital role to play in ensuring the future sustainability of all heath care systems as the cost of managing multiple long term conditions become an ever greater burden in all countries around the world.
The International Congress of Complementary Medicine Research is the annual meeting of the International Society for Complementary Medicine Research (ISCMR). ISCMR is an international professional, multidisciplinary, non-profit scientific organization devoted to fostering Complementary and Integrative Medicine research. It provides a platform for knowledge and information exchange to enhance international communication and collaboration. This congress marks the 10th anniversary of the ISCMR.
